James David Longest, also known by his air name David James, is a renowned radio and television host who currently works at WNIN Channel 9 and WNIN FM 88.3. For the past five years, he has been producing and hosting the interview program Two Main Street on WNIN. David is a distinguished member of the Indiana Broadcasters Hall of Fame and has experience in newspapers, radio, and television.

David started his professional career at the Evansville Courier and Press and has also worked at the Sunday Courier and Press, 103GBF radio, and WFIE TV. For 41 years, David served as the news anchor at WFIE 14News, reporting local, regional, national, and international news. He covered various high-profile events like the United Nations, the White House and Congress, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Ukraine. While working at 103GBF, he also covered the Bull Island Rock Festival for NBC radio.

David is a native of Evansville and a graduate of Bosse High School. He holds a BA and an MA from the University of Evansville, where he was also the editor of the school paper, The Crescent. He is married to Susan, who works as a paralegal with Kightlinger and Gray. They have a daughter named Lauren, who is a teacher at Floyd Central High School.
